step 5 tools

Equip your agent with capabilities it can invoke at runtime. Tools define what the agent can do.

How the UI Works

Tools are organized into collapsible categories. Each category shows how many tools it contains and how many you've selected. A search bar at the top filters across all categories.

Selected tools appear as removable chips at the top of the step, so you always know what's been added.

How It's Used

Selected tools are listed in the "Available Tools" section of the generated system prompt and included in the OpenClaw JSON export. The agent knows it has access to these tools and can invoke them when relevant.
